#12: Alycia Cassar Trains In Greece Ahead Of G2 Competitions

ITL’s very own Alycia Cassar journeyed to Greece for a second time this month. This time, to for a week-long training camp at Athletic Club Dafni.

The invitation came at the behest of Sakis Pragalos, President of the European Taekwondo Union.

In camp, she was joined by Malta Taekwondo Association President Anna Vassallo, who travelled to Greece on official duties for the association.

After the week-long training event, coach Nikos Kyritsis shared a few words.

“Alycia has a lot of talent and a very good body for Taekwondo. She was focused and disciplined. The mentality of a champion who is willing to learn and develop.”

The training camp is the second on the club’s agenda ahead of a busy 2023 campaign.

Next month, Alycia and Michela Scerri (ITL) will also compete in the Presidents Cup (G2). In March, the duo will hit the Belgium Open (G2).
