#56: 29 Members Graded, Including Association’s Youngest Maltese Taekwondo Player

29 students walked away with new belts in ITL’s latest grading. Among them was the Association’s youngest-ever athlete, who claimed a yellow tag.

This grading was the first time three schools within the ITL umbrella convened for examinations.

12 students from Chiswick House School (CHS), six students from St Edward’s College (SEC) and 11 from the ITL main club sat for their grading together on the 19th of June 2024.

Of all the students, the youngest was Noah Barbara, who achieved his yellow tag at the tender age of 4 years 7 months and 7 days. An all-new national and Association record.

Other members registered a great showing in the event. So much so, that the coaching team would like to congratulate:

CHS and SEC members primarily comprised of young athletes, some of whom were as young as six years.

Together with ITL coaches Gianluca, Ditmir and Ela, they have prepared for this very moment for the past few terms.

This grading became the latest in an important line of achievements accomplished by the ITL as a team, and to that, everyone deserves to be applauded.

During this time, many of the schools forming part of the ITL umbrella have also participated in MTA test matches, adding a much-needed explosion of diversity among athletes.

Following this occasion, the next ITL Keup grading will take place on the 4th of September 2023.
