#8: Tough Mudder ‘22: Another Event Smashed

Having acquired a taste for Obstacle Course Races, the ITL nailed Malta’s Tough Mudder challenge. And it did so with some badass company.

The world-famous OCR was held at Pretty Bay on the 26th November 2022. A day that had us hit the dirt together with ex-colleagues and friends from Lovin Malta.

After the Spartan Race, this event was the second to have seen a member of the ITL coursing through its 20 obstacles. Like the Spartan, it meant getting down and dirty on the sands in the midst of one of Malta’s craziest storms.

Regardless of the weather conditions, it did not stop us from running, diving into ice-cold waters, sprinting through fields of live wires, climbing over splintered wooden towers, and carrying heavy obstacles (including ourselves).

While these courses aren’t for the faint of heart, Tough Mudder has been bringing people of all ages together for the past 13 years. It gives folks a golden opportunity to unplug from the daily grind by challenging themselves both physically and mentally while making some new friends along the way.

Since 2009, over six million participants have taken on a Tough Mudder challenge across the globe.

As for our performance? The race was completed in just under an hour. Not bad at all, considering the circumstances.
