#15: Maltese Association’s First Local Training Camp, Powered By ITL

Test matches, hard training, food, fun and shenanigans. ITL lit up the Malta Taekwondo Association’s first local training camp… and it was massive.

The event kicked off on Saturday 18th February, with Kyorugi sessions for kids, cadets, juniors and seniors. On the same day, a nutrition talk - ‘Eat Like A Taekwondo Athlete’ was delivered by ITL Coach Gianluca Barbara (registered nutritionist). Training continued on Sunday 19th February. It included a series of test matches using the Point Scoring System (PSS).

Perhaps the most anticipated session of the event was the one dished out to parents of child-athletes. An opportunity to give children’s families a taste of what the sport is about. They even got a chance to test their newfound abilities against some of our seasoned fighters (including their own kids!).

Our young martial artists even snuck in a cheeky session in their Carnival get-up.

No less than 28 Taekwondo players hit the event; 25 of which were ITL members. Three others players were registered with Taekwondo Dragon Club.

The event was also a first for one of Malta’s leading online news platform: Lovin Malta. Following their partnership with AMA Livestream, the event was broadcast, live. Indeed, this ITL event became the first event to be streamed on their platform.

That’s not all. A new partnership between Malta’s leading news platform: Lovin Malta and AMA Livestream broadcasted the event, live. Indeed, this event became the first to be streamed on their platform.

You can catch all the action directly on the Lovin Malta facebook page.
