#20: Weekend Training With Iranian Champion Hadi Mostaan

An MTA-based initiative welcomed a renowned Iranian champion to our humble Dojang on the weekend of the 15th and 16th April. A fantastic surprise, with the association launching the event only one week prior.

Sessions were held over two days, with athletes from three local clubs joining the fun.

No less than 22 participants from Iron Taekwondo League attended. The largest contingent of all local clubs. Meanwhile, an additional four and two participants hailed from Dragon Academy and Birzebbuga respectively.

The event welcomed students as young as seven years of age. Aspiring athletes looking to boost their game with the experience of a champion.

Sessions were also held in conjunction with AMA Livestream. The very same entity that broadcast the MTA’s first local training camp. The footage of the session will come out in due course.

The legendary Hadi Mostaan needs no introduction. Aside from being a world vice-champion (2013), the former 10-year Iranian national player bagged silver in the Global Universiade Games (2012) and two bronze medals in the 2014 World Cup and Manchester Grand Prix (2014). In his retirement from competition, Mostaan became a coach of the Iranian National Team.
